Wandering Hooves

My name is Paige Painter and I am a horseback riding Instructor and Trainer! Although my journey has just begun here in Alexandria, KY, my passion for horses and teaching lessons has always reigned true. A brief insight into my background in the horse world; I started taking riding lessons when I was 6 years old; I attended 4-H Horse Camp every summer throughout my middle school-aged years; I began teaching riding lessons when I was in high school; I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Recreation and Park Administration; During college, I had the pleasure of completing an internship at a therapeutic riding center and then, after college, I spent a season in Wyoming as a Wrangler on a 10,000 acre horse ranch with 200 horses. The ranch was named HF Bar Ranch. I spent the spring and summer guiding trail rides of 1-25 riders, twice a day. I was also the wrangler in charge of the weekly kids rodeo.

More recently, I spent a year on a 20 acre ranch in Florida teaching recreational and therapeutic horseback riding lessons and assisting with the programs on the ranch such as therapeutic retreats, birthday celebrations, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts events, home schooling programs, summer camp programs and fundraisers.

Hi, I’m Lita! I'm 27 years young and stronger than ever! I really enjoy teaching the small kids that not every bigger horse is scary- I go really slow and I listen really well to give them the confidence they need to grow! I love getting baths. I hope to meet you soon so I can safely show you all of the emotions of a Mare!

Hi, I’m Bunny, the sweetest Rocky Mountain Walker in all of the land. I love to be brushed and trail rides are my favorite! I love giving Pony Rides, taking care of my young riders and teaching everyone the ropes!

Hi, I’m Cash and I’m a wild mustang!!! But, not the kind of wild mustang you’re probably envisioning… My favorite speed is stop and I like to make sure you don’t have anything I could eat in your pockets… I am 4 years old from the plains of Nevada and I was brought into captivity when I was around one year old. I was adopted by Eddie and Misty Rust in June of 2021. I have spent almost whole 2 years learning how to trust my humans and how to be a very good boy when I have a rider on my back. Whenever someone is on my back I take really good care of them. I’m curious but I’m not crazy. I really love it here in KY and I really love my job! I hope to meet you soon and show you how great Mustangs can be 💕

Camp runs from 10am-4pm daily. You will need to bring a packed lunch daily, closed-toe shows and a bathing suit/towel We will spend most of the day with the horses, taking care of them and riding and will finish the day with crafts/games, pool time, and nature walks!
